Summary of accommodation This apartment is located on the historic island of Ortigia, (Siracusa) with its narrow streets and Baroque houses and Medieval history. The accommodation is a small studio that has been recently renovated and offers comfortable town accommodation. It is set in a delightful location on the sea front in Ortigia and includes an open plan lounge / diner / bedroom, kitchenette unit and bathroom.

Accommodation details Close to some of the most beautiful and interesting sites that Siracusa has to offer including Piazza Duomo, Piazza Archimede, and the Marina and it is ideally located for shops, bars and restaurants.

This property is a first floor studio apartment.

Entrance leads directly into a studio room that has been furnished with a double queen-size bed, small wardrobe, a double sofa bed, an armchair, table & chairs and TV. There is also a kitchenette unit comprising of gas hob and fridge with small freezer compartment to provide basic self-catering facilities.

The bathroom is located from the studio room and is fitted with a shower, bidet, sink and toilet.

Parking info. There is no designated parking close to the property. However there is some free and paid for parking along the road and a large car park situated nearby. It is possible for cars to stop outside the property for pick-ups and collections.

Pricing info. The weekly pricing shown in the table below is based on two people sharing the apartment.

An additional weekly supplement of £44 / €50 is charged per extra person.

Area info. Please be aware that Ortigia is the historical centre of Siracusa. Bars, restaurants and residential properties are all within close proximity of each other and therefore accommodation in this area may be subjected to noise levels associated with town dwellings.

Sites of interest within the city include the ancient Greek Theatre, where performances are still staged during May & June and which forms part of a larger archeological park. The archeological museum has one of the best displays of archeological remains in Sicily. The old cathedral located in the heart of Ortigia date from 1728, but includes 8th century Norman artifacts.

Siracusa also offers beaches which are generally located to the south of the city and include the resorts of Arenella, Fontane Bianche and the protected coastline of Vendicari.

Further afield from Siracusa, but within easy driving distance are the Baroque towns of Noto, Modica, Ispica and Ragusa Ibla. The popular resorts of Taormina, Giardini Naxos and Letojanni are located north of Catania, whilst the imposing form of Mount Etna is easily visible from Siracusa and offers numerous opportunities for excursions.
