This delightful accommodation is located in Ortigia, which is the historical heart of Siracusa just behind Piazza Duomo and in front of the Marina. It is within easy walking distance of numerous shops, restaurants, bars and historical places of interest, so is ideally located to explore Ortigia. The property has been completely refurbished to a high standard and includes all modern comforts.

All of the rooms are of varying sizes and have been individually decorated and furnished. There is also a communal “dining” room for guests to use. A buffet breakfast can be provided in the communal dining room or a voucher can be provided for breakfast at a local bar in Piazza Duomo.
The main entrance leads directly from the narrow street in Ortigia into a communal hallway. The hallway is sparse and does not give credit to the rooms contained within.
Located on the second floor of the property a door provides entrance into a furnished hall area from which all rooms are accessed.
There is also a small communal dining room “Ortigia room” that includes several tables and chairs and is available for guests to use.

Please be aware that Ortigia is the historical centre of Siracusa. Bars, restaurants and residential properties are all within close proximity of each other and therefore accommodation in this area may be subjected to noise levels associated with town dwellings.
Sites of interest within the city include the ancient Greek Theatre, where performances are still staged during May & June and which forms part of a larger archeological park. The archeological museum has one of the best displays of archeological remains in Sicily. The old cathedral located in the heart of Ortigia date from 1728, but includes 8th century Norman artifacts.
Siracusa also offers beaches which are generally located to the south of the city and include the resorts of Arenella, Fontane Bianche and the protected coastline of Vendicari.
Further afield from Siracusa, but within easy driving distance are the Baroque towns of Noto, Modica, Ispica and Ragusa Ibla. The popular resorts of Taormina, Giardini Naxos and Letojanni are located north of Catania, whilst the imposing form of Mount Etna is easily visible from Siracusa and offers numerous opportunities for excursions.
