Villa De Leva is an old 19th century Sicilian mansion located on the outskirts of the baroque town of Modica. Within the courtyard of the old mansion there are three independent lodges that provide self-catering accommodation. All of the lodges have been recently refurbished and provide as a minimum, a double bedroom, sofa-bed, kitchenette, television and bathroom. The lodges all benefit from the use of the mature garden with swimming pool, as well as the main courtyard.

Casa Della Nonna – sleeps 3/4
This is the largest of the three lodges, with entrance from the courtyard leading into a lounge/diner that has the original tiled flooring and a wooden ceiling. The room is furnished with a sofa and arm-chairs including a single chair bed, a television, dining-table and chairs. Two doors lead from the room, the first to a double bedroom that is furnished with a double-bed and large wardrobe. The bedroom is also equipped with a ceiling fan. The second door leads to the galley kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen has been equipped with a fridge-freezer, sink unit, oven and hob. The bathroom has a modern shower unit, toilet, sink and bidet. There is also access to a small patio area to the rear. All of the windows have been fitted with mosquito screens and there is also a central heating system.
Casa Verde – sleeps 3
The second lodge is also accessed from the main courtyard, with the entrance door leading into a lounge/diner. The room has been furnished with a sofa-bed, arm-chair, television, dining table and chairs. A door from the lounge leads to the double bedroom that has been furnished with a double-bed and wardrobe. The bedroom also has a small ensuite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, sink and bidet. A second door from the lounge leads to the galley kitchen and a second bathroom. The kitchen has been equipped with a fridge, hob and sink unit, whilst the bathroom has a shower unit, sink, toilet and bidet. There is also access to a small patio area to the rear and all windows have been fitted with mosquito screens and there is also a central heating system.
Casa Gialla – sleeps 3
This is the smallest of the three lodges, providing a studio room furnished with a double-bed, walk-in wardrobe and double sofa-bed and television. There is an ensuite bathroom that has been fitted with a modern shower unit, sink, toilet and bidet. A door from the bedroom leads to the kitchen/diner, which has been equipped with a fridge, hob, sink, small dining table and chairs. From the kitchen there is also access to a small private patio and garden area. The lodge has also been fitted with a modern air-conditioning unit, which is charged based on actual consumption and is payable locally at the end of your stay.
The accommodation also includes a communal utility room which includes a washing machine, iron and ironing board.
The swimming pool is open between 1 June - 1 October (subject to weather).
Villa de Leva can also book massages for clients on request.
Horse-riding and boat trips can also be organised by the accommodation. |

The weekly pricing shown in the table below is based on two guests sharing a lodge.
A supplement of £35 / €40 per week is payable for each additional guest.
Please be aware that Casa Gialla is equipped with air-conditioning which is charged according to usage (payable locally at the end of your stay).
Infants (sleeping in a cot) stay free of charge.

The baroque town of Modica is located within the province of Ragusa, in the south-east of Sicily and under two hours drive from Catania airport. The town is situated approximately 20km inland from the nearest beach resorts of Marina di Modica and Marina di Ragusa. In addition to Modica, the baroque towns of Noto, Ispica, Scicli and Ragusa Ibla are all within easy driving distance and as a group form part of a United Nations World Heritage site. Other sites of interest include Cava d’Ispica and the fort at Donnafugata, whilst the port town of Pozzallo provides a regular ferry service to Malta.
