Summary of accommodation This property nestles in the hills just outside of Cefalu’ and offers three luxury self-catering apartments with a shared swimming pool and stunning views of the surrounding countryside down to the sea. (1 x 3 bedroom apartment and 2 x two bedroom apartments). Catania and Trapani airports are approximately two hours drive away whilst Palermo airport is a little over an hour’s drive away.

Accommodation details The property is serviced by an electric gate which provides access to a long driveway lined with olive trees and palms. At the end of the driveway there is private parking and the entrance to the apartments.

Apartment A – Ground floor
The entrance to this apartment leads directly into a large lounge that has been furnished with sofas and wicker armchairs and also offers a satellite television with dvd player and a large window overlooking the terrace. A large archway leads to the rest of the house, where the bedrooms and bathrooms are located.

A further archway from the lounge provides access to the dining room which has been furnished with a large table and chairs (8 places). A sliding door from the dining room then provides access to the fully equipped kitchen which offers an oven, hob, microwave, barbeque, double sink unit, fridge/freezer, kettle, washing machine, dishwasher and table and chairs. There is a large window which overlooks the terrace and the swimming pool.

The first and second bedrooms have been furnished with a double bed, bedside tables and wardrobes. The third bedroom has been furnished with twin beds and includes an ensuite bathroom fitted with a shower, sink, bidet and toilet. All of the bedrooms have also been equipped with air-conditioning.

The main bathroom is a large room fitted with a double shower, double sink unit, bidet and toilet.

The apartment includes a large private terrace which is located next to the shared swimming pool and has been furnished with sun-loungers. The terrace benefits from lovely views of the surrounding countryside, including views down to the sea which is located approximately 2km away.

Apartment B – First floor
This apartment offers a lounge/kitchen/diner with a sofa, fireplace and a satellite television with dvd player. The kitchen area has been fitted with an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, sink unit, kettle and various storage cupboards.

A small corridor from the lounge leads to the bedrooms.

The first bedroom has been furnished with a double bed, bedside tables and a chest of drawers. The bedrooms also offers a sliding door that provides access to an outside balcony. The second bedroom has been furnished with twin beds and a bedside table with lamp.

There is also a small utility room with a washing machine and the apartment includes air-conditioning.

The apartment includes its own terrace which overlooks the swimming pool and offers lovely views of the surrounding countryside including views of the sea. The area has been furnished with a table and chairs and sun-loungers, whilst there is also a barbeque area with outside sink which is shared with Apartment C.

Apartment C – First floor
This apartment offers a lounge with a sofa, fireplace and satellite television. The kitchenette is located within the lounge and has been equipped with an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, sink unit, kettle and various storage cupboards.

The first bedroom has been furnished with double bed, bedside tables and a chest of drawers. The second bedroom is furnished with a single bed.

There is also a small utility room with a washing machine and the apartment includes air-conditioning.

The apartment includes its own terrace furnished with table and chairs and once again offers lovely views of the surrounding countryside and the sea in the distance. There is also a barbeque area with outside sink which is shared with Apartment B.

Outside area All of the area surrounding the property offers outside terracing along with numerous palms and other potted Mediterranean plants. The shared swimming pool is located to the front of the accommodation and offers child friendly steps into the water, along with a shallow area, ideal for younger children. Sun-bathing is possible on several sides of the pool and numerous sun-loungers are available for guests to use.

The swimming pool area is surrounded by railings which enclose the area from the rest of the garden, which falls away with the natural slope of the land. There is also an external shower for use whilst swimming.

Pricing info. The weekly pricing shown in the table below is based on up to six guests sharing Apartment A during Off Peak & Mid Season 1.

The weekly pricing for Apartment A is £960 (Off Peak) & £1050 (Mid Season I). These prices are inclusive of water, gas, electricity, towels, sheets and a final clean (they do not include heating – which is payable locally if required)

The weekly pricing for Apartment B is £655 (Off Peak) & £745 (Mid Season I). These prices are inclusive of water, gas, electricity, air-conditioning, towels, sheets and a final clean (they do not include heating – which is payable locally if required)

The weekly pricing for Apartment C is £635 (Off Peak) & £720 (Mid Season I) These prices are inclusive of water, gas, electricity, air-conditioning, towels, sheets and a final clean (they do not include heating – which is payable locally if required)

These apartments are not available to be rented separately between 19 June and 18 Sept. During this period the whole structure needs to be rented as a single unit, with a capacity of between 13 – 17 guests.

A cot is available on request at an additional charge of €20 per week (payable locally). A highchair is also available on request at an additional charge of €15 per week (payable locally).

An additional cleaning service is available on request at a cost of €8 per hour (payable locally).

Additional sets of towels and sheets are available on request at a cost of €12 each set (payable locally).

Area info. This property is located approximately 7km to the east of Cefalu near the small hamlet of San Ambrogio, which offers some shops and restaurants, whilst the coast is just 4km away and offers sandy beach.

Cefalu is within easy driving distance and offers a wealth of history, charm and long sandy beaches. There are numerous restaurants, and shops, along with water sports, night-life and some great walking opportunities. Many of the sites of interest are located in the town centre, which offers numerous historic buildings, including the impressive 12th century Norman cathedral. The town is ‘sandwiched’ between the sea and ‘La Rocca’, an enormous rock promontory, which offers plenty of walking opportunities and at the summit, some stunning views of the sea, including the Aeolian Islands.

Other nearby beach resorts include Castel di Tusa and Campofelice di Roccella. The Madonie Mountains offer an immediate and obvious attraction. Besides the mountainous countryside, there are also the hill towns of Petralia Soprana and Polizzi Generosa that offer Arab and Norman architecture.

During the summer months (typically 1st June – 15th September) there is a direct daily hydrofoil between Cefalu and the Aeolian Islands, making day-trip excursions to this beautiful group of Islands very easy. During winter months the service is reduced to three times a week. Slightly further afield is the historical town of Monreale with its famous Norman Cathedral and the Provincial capitals of Palermo, Messina & Enna.
