Palazzo Santa Maria is located in the heart of Cefalu within the Province of Palermo and offers one bedroom self catering apartments. All of the town’s amenities are immediately on hand, including a large stretch of sandy beach. The apartments offer a lounge/diner with kitchen facilities, a double or twin bedroom and a bathroom. They have all been fitted with air-conditioning and offer a balcony or terrace. The airport at Palermo is a little over an hour away, whilst Catania airport is two hours drive away.

The Palazzo is located in the one of principle piazza’s in Cefalu and adjacent to the impressive cathedral. The building dates from the 10th Century and was originally the Royal Palace. It has undergone major changes and renovations in the centuries since and only a few of the original features have survived until today.
The apartments are split over the first, second and third floors of the building, they all have their own private access and have been tastefully furnished and decorated. On the second floor there is access to a large communal roof terrace offering sun-loungers and chairs, a facility that all of the apartments share (available from 0900 – 1900)
First Floor
Ruggero – this apartment offers views of the Piazza. The accommodation provides a large lounge furnished with a sofa bed, dining table and chairs, whilst the kitchen area is equipped with a microwave, fridge and sink. From the lounge there is access to a small balcony which overlooks the square below. The bedroom has a double bed, but twin beds can be provided if required. The bathroom is equipped with a sink, shower and toilet. The apartment includes air-conditioning, central heating and a television.
First Floor – half level
Turiddu & Santuzza – these apartments overlook one of the small side-roads. The accommodation provides a small lounge area furnished with a sofa bed, a dining table and chairs, whilst the kitchen area has a sink, fridge and microwave. From the lounge, Apartrment Turiddu offers a small balcony. The bedroom has a double bed, but twin beds can be provided if required. The bathroom is equipped with a sink, shower and toilet. The apartments include air-conditioning, central heating and a television.
Second Floor
Federico – this apartment offers views of the Piazza. The Apartments are located in the heart of Cefalu, one of Sicily’s most popular resorts, which offers a wealth of history, charm and lovely sandy beaches. There are numerous restaurants and shops all within walking distance, whilst the towns also offers water sports, night-life and some great walking opportunities.
Many of the sites of interest are located in the town, which offers numerous historic buildings, including the impressive 12th century Norman cathedral. The town is ‘sandwiched’ between the sea and ‘La Rocca’, an enormous rock promontory, which offers plenty walking opportunities and at the summit, some stunning views of the sea, including the Aeolian Islands Other beach resorts include Castel di Tusa and Campofelice di Roccella. The Madonie Mountains offer an immediate and obvious attraction. Besides the mountainous countryside, there are also the hill towns of Petralia Soprana and Polizzi Generosa that offer Arab and Norman architecture.
During the summer months (typically 1st June – 15th September) there is a direct daily hydrofoil between Cefalu and the Aeolian Islands, making day-trip excursions to this beautiful group of Islands very easy. During winter months the service is reduced to three times a week. Slightly further afield is the historical town of Monreale with its famous Norman Cathedral and the Provincial capitals of Palermo, Messina & Enna.
