Summary of accommodation This three star hotel is located on the Aeolian Island of Panarea within a few minutes walk from the harbour in San Pietro. Set within well maintained gardens the accommodation is styled as traditional Aeolian Dammusi. There are only 11 individually furnished and styled bedrooms, whilst other hotel facilities including two restaurants, a bar, a geothermal pool with hydro-massage facilities and sunbathing areas.

Accommodation details The hotel has been wonderfully decorated and furnished, offering individually styled bedrooms which are minimalist in design. All of the accommodation is based on traditional single storey Dammusi which are centred around well maintained gardens and the pool.

All of the 11 bedrooms have been individually furnished and decorated with hand-crafted teak furniture and traditional Sicilian ceramic tiles. All of the rooms includes a private bathroom, air-conditioning, television, mini-bar, and hairdryer.

The hotel’s facilities include two restaurants offering traditional Sicilain cuisine and a bar which are located within a few minutes walk of the hotel. Restaurant Da Pina is located on the ground floor and open all year round. Diners are accommodated in one of several shaded terraces. Restaurant Calajunco Da Pina is located upstairs from its sister restaurant and is open for dinner during the main Summer months. The restaurant offers al-fresco candlelit dining with sea views.

Within the garden there are various sunbathing areas and a large geothermal pool which also offers hydro-massage (Apr – Oct).

The hotel can also happily arrange boat hire for either fishing or general excursions as well as scooter and electric buggy hire.

Area info. The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the harbour within the village of San Pietro. Facilities within the village include numerous restaurants, shops, supermarkets and an ATM. Cala Zimmari, which is the only sandy beach of the island, is within reasonable walking distance from the hotel although there are several rocky bays which are only a few minutes walk.

Panarea is one the smallest and lowest island of the Aeolian Islands, situated between Lipari and Stromboli. There are a number of small uninhabited islands that surround Panarea, which are all that remain of the once huge extinct volcanic crater, whilst Timpone del Corvo is the highest point at 412 m above sea level.

The two other small hamlets Ditella & Drauto, are also located on the east coast of the island. Perhaps the most impressive location on the island is Cala Junco bay which is a charming beach enclosed by volcanic reefs and located at the southern most point of the island. From this beach a climb leads to a prehistoric village.

There are several options for travelling to and from the Aeolian Islands. Ferries and hydrofoils run from Milazzo to all of the Islands, but please refer to the ’Travel Info’ - Ferry section of the website for further information regarding travel to the Aeolian. For those flying to Catania, it is possible to take a taxi from the airport to Milazzo and then catch the hydrofoil or ferry. There is also a train service between Palermo and Milazzo. During Peak Season (June – September) there is also a regular hydrofoil direct to the Aeolian Islands from Naples and Palermo.
