This hotel originally opened in 1908 and has been run by the same family ever since. The hotel is situated in the ‘Green Area’ of Taormina and with its elevated position, offers stunning views of Naxos bay and Mount Etna. Hotel facilities include a breakfast room, lounge, large veranda, well maintained gardens, private parking and a shuttle bus to the beach (during summer periods). Catania airport is approximately one hour’s drive away.

The hotel perches on the side of Mount Tauro and was built and designed to make best use of the stunning views of the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna. The building itself offers some great architectural features including enormous windows in a conservatory style room that enables breakfast to be taken whilst appreciating the sea views.
The hotel has also been furnished and decorated in a traditional and elegant style that befits the period building. Communal areas include a large lounge, the breakfast room and a veranda that offers stunning views and from where it is also possible to take breakfast. There is also a delightfully maintained garden with fruit trees and private parking.
The hotel offers 32 bedrooms, including double, triple and quadruple rooms, all of which have been fitted with air-conditioning, telephone, satellite television, hairdryer and safety deposit boxes. The ensuite bathrooms have been fitted with a bath or shower, toilet, sink and bidet. The quadruple rooms are set out over two floors, so offer two separate sleeping areas.
Most of the rooms offer a shared terrace area with sea-view, table and chairs, although there are a few rooms that offer either a french balcony or simply a sea-view.
During the summer months the hotel provides a shuttle-bus service to ‘Lido La Pigna’ which is one of the serviced Lido beaches located in Mazzerò Bay, although this service is not complimentary.

The cost of a triple room on a bed and breakfast basis is £140 / €160 per night.
The cost of a quadruple room on a bed and breakfast basis is £154 / €175 per night.
The cost of a double room for single usage on a bed and breakfast basis is £83 / €95 per night.
Infants under two stay free of charge when sharing the room with two adults, although if required, the daily rate for a cot is €7.00 payable locally. Children aged two – twelve receive a 50% discount on the per person rate when sharing the room with two adults.

The hotel is situated in Taormina, approximately ten minutes walk from the town centre and the main transport links, including the cable car to the beach area and the bus terminal. The town of Taormina has numerous shops, bars and restaurants many centered on Corso Umberto. There is also an ancient Greek Theatre where live concerts are often performed during the peak summer months. The coastal area of Taormina Mare has many public and private beaches including Mazzerò Bay where the cable car station is located, Isola Bella, a protected island and the beach resort of Giardini-Naxos.
Places to visit outside of Taormina include Mount Etna, Caltagirone, Catania and Siracusa.
