Hotel Olimpo is a three star hotel located on the foot-hills of Mount Etna, close to the town of Zafferana Etnea and within easy driving distance from both Catania city centre and the airport. Also within driving distance of the hotel is the popular beach resort of Taormina, the historical city of Siracusa and the port of Milazzo that provides access to the Aeolian Islands. At 560m above sea-level, the hotel’s 16 rooms have panoramic views of the mountain and surrounding countryside. The hotel also has a restaurant, bar, terraces and garden.

The hotel has a total of 14 rooms including doubles, triples, quadruples, singles and suites. All of the rooms have been tastefully furnished and are equipped with air-conditioning, television, a safety deposit box and a mini-bar. All of the rooms have ensuite bathrooms with showers. Additionally they all have offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
The hotel’s restaurant offers traditional Sicilian cuisine, whilst the other communal areas include a bar, terrace and garden with a small children’s play area.
The hotel also has an agreement with a local private beach at Fondachello di Mascali which enables guests to enjoy the beach facilities. The lido offers changing rooms, sunloungers and sun umbrellas and games room.

The weekly pricing shown in the table below is based on two guests sharing a double room on a bed & breakfast basis.
The nightly rate for two guests sharing a double room on a bed and breakfast basis is £70 / €80 per night (Off Peak) and £88 / €100 per night (Peak).
The nightly rate for two guests sharing a double room on a half board basis is £106 / €120 per night (Off Peak) and £122 / €140 per night (Peak).
The supplement for a Junior Suite is £18 / €20 per night.

The hotel is located near the town of Zafferana Etnea on the foothills of Mount Etna, which now forms part of a 143,000 acre National Park. As well as the nearby town, there are numerous other towns on the foothills that all provide a unique insight into local architecture and history. These include Bronte, Randazzo, Milo and Linguaglossa. There are two places from where organised excursions closer to the summit depart. The nearest to the hotel is Rifugio Sapienza, on the southern slopes of the mountain
Further a field from Etna are the Provincial capitals of Catania and Siracusa, the latter being famous for its archaeological history, ancient Greek theatre and the island of Ortigia. The popular beach resorts of Taormina and Giardini Naxos are only 25km from the hotel. It is also possible to reach the port town of Milazzo from where regular hydrofoils serve the Aeolian Islands.
