The Residence Hotel La Ville opened in 2002 after an extensive conversion and is located close to the main shopping streets in Catania, but is also within easy walking distance of numerous bars and restaurants. The main international airport at Catania is only 20 minutes drive away. This three star hotel has nine rooms offering double, triple and quadruple sleeping accommodation, all of which have been comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. There are also three studio apartments and two one-bedroom apartments offering basic self-catering facilities.

The hotel provides a reception area, communal lounge, coffee bar and breakfast room where a buffet breakfast is served. All of the communal areas of the hotel have been decorated and furnished to a high standard. A lift provides access to the bedrooms and apartments.
The bedrooms have also been decorated and furnished to a high standard and the high ceilings provide them with a light and spacious feeling.
All of the rooms include air-conditioning, ensuite bathroom with bath or shower, satelite television, internet point, telephone, mini-bar, hairdryer and safety deposit box.
The room types include doubles, triples and quadruples, the latter based on two separate bedrooms. All of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with either a shower or a bath and a hair-dryer
The three studio and two one-bedroom apartments provide basic self-catering accommodation within the hotel. The studio apartments include a double bed, ensuite bathroom and kitchen / dining area that has been equipped with a hob, sink and fridge. The one bedroom apartments include a bedroom, ensuite bathroom and a lounge / diner with a kitchen area. The lounge is also furnished with a sofa bed that provides sleeping arrangements for an additional two guests. All of the apartments are available on a bed & breakfast basis.

The hotel is situated in an older, less developed, residential quarter of Catania. It is close to the railway station and within walking distance of the main shopping street, Piazza Duomo and many of the historical sites that central Catania has to offer. There are also numerous bars and restaurants within close proximity to the hotel. Mount Etna overlooks the city and therefore the towns and lava flows on the mountain side are all within easy driving distance. The popular resort of Taormina is within an hour’s drive to the north of Catania, whilst Siracusa is an hour’s drive to the south.
