A’ Pinnata is a small four star hotel that has been recently renovated and provides very comfortable accommodation overlooking one of the Marinas in Lipari. The island can be reached from the port at Milazzo where both hydrofoils and ferries operate a regular service, especially during the summer months.

The hotel offers 10 double rooms, all of which provide ensuite bathroom with shower, air-conditioning, mini-bar and satelite television. The rooms also have a small terrace that overlooks the Marina, whilst guests can also use a large communal roof terrace for sun-bathing. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the ferry port, the town centre and the beach. Should guests choose to stay on a half board basis, then dinner is provided at either the ‘Filippino’ or ‘E Pulera’ a la carte restuarants.

Only weekly bookings (Saturday to Saturday) are accepted during Peak Season.

Lipari is the main island of the Aeolian islands, located about 40km from Milazzo, and is about 10km long by 5km wide. The charming old town, also named Lipari, is dominated by the castle, which separates the two harbours, and has numerous small narrow streets with shops, bars and restaurants. The castle was significantly enhanced by the Spanish in the 16th century and has large impressive walls, which surround the Duomo and other buildings in the historic centre. The cathedral was originally built by the Normans in the 11th century, but has had numerous alterations in subsequent years. The town also has a Museo Archeologico, which exhibits an excellent collection of finds from the islands and Milazzo. The main peak on the island is Monte Chirica at 600m, which displays evidence of its volcanic history along with several hot springs.
