Eremo della Giubiliana is a five star hotel situated approximately 10km from Ragusa. The historical structure dates back as early as the 12th century and in the 18th century it was restored and opened by the Nifosi family to offer hospitality to guests. The central part of the convent has been restored but the old structure has been kept much as it was using original materials, pitch and limestone floorings and antique furnishings.

The friar’s cells have been restored and transformed to provide guest rooms that are fitted with antique furniture and include all modern comforts. The hotel also has three suites that can accommodate up to four guests and include air-conditioning and private bathrooms.

The hotel offers 13 rooms (Classic, Superior and Deluxe). All of the rooms have been individually furnished and decorated and offer antique furnishings and all comforts including private bathroom, air-conditioning, safety deposit box telephone, sky TV and internet access.
The Classic and Superior rooms offer views over the Hortus garden. The deluxe double rooms include a private terrace.

There are 6 suites available:
“Grande Suite” is laid out over two floors. On the upper floor there is a a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bath. A further bedroom and bathroom can be available on the ground floor (for families with children).
“Frate Nero Suite” is located on the ground floor with its thick stone walls and white stone pavement. The suite offers antique furnishings and the bathroom includes a jacuzzi bath.
“Torre del Canonico Suite” is located in the old tower and laid out over three floors. On the ground floor there is a lounge area On the first the vaulted bedroom overlooking the private garden and on the top floor is a terrace offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
“Della Guardia Suite” is situated on the ground floor with white stoned paving and high wooden-beamed ceilings. The suite is symmetrically divided into two parts by a large stone arch. The lounge area is characterised by an old stone chimney and antique furnishings. A small medieval door leads to a bathroom with two sinks and jacuzzi bath overlooking the garden.
“Torre Suite” is located in the grounds of the old watchtower. It comprises of two large stone-vaulted rooms dominated by an antique fireplace. The bedroom has been beautifully restored from the old “knights dungeon”. There is also a narrow bathroom with shower only. The suite opens out to a charming inner courtyard.
”“Gran Maestro Suite” is located on the upper floor of the oldest part of the Eremo with access via the old stone staircase. It has been furnished with original Sicilian antiques and includes a lounge with fireplace, double bedroom, private bathroom with bath, two balconies an internal stone courtyard.

The hotel has two restaurants that serves typical dishes from Ragusa the Highland Aristocracy using organic products from their kitchen garden. You can also taste the best Sicilian wine directly from the cellar that is housed in the medieval vault. There is also a wellness centre and swimming pool within the grounds.
The hotel also has a private airfield (full services of airfield available on request).

The beach resort of Marina di Ragusa is located within the Province of Ragusa in the south-east of Sicily and two hours drive from Catania airport. The town features a sandy beach as well as numerous restaurants and bars, but is also within easy driving distance of the beach resorts of Marina di Modica and Donnalucata. The main sites of interest include the baroque towns of Modica, Noto, Ispica, Scicli and Ragusa Ibla, which as a group form part of a United Nations World Heritage site.
