Baglio Fontana is an antique “baglio” that was originally built at the end of the 18th century / beginning of 19th century and has been recently renovated respecting the original architecture. It is located in the province of Trapani in the upper western part of Sicily. There are 11 rooms within the building including connecting rooms, quadruples, triples and singles. The accommodation also offers a communal lounge, swimming pool with jacuzzi jets, a restaurant and a small museum.

The farm still produces wine, oil and grain and offers cooking courses based on traditional Trapanese dishes and the opportunity of tasting local produce, wines and oils etc.

Furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, beside units and chest of drawers. The ensuite bathroom has been fitted with a shower and a hair dryer. All these rooms have a small balcony or large window with views of the pool or the courtyard.

A steep staircase leads to a mezzanine level furnished with a double bed. The ensuite bathroom has been fitted with a shower and a hair dryer.

Furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, bedside units, chest of drawers and two single sofa beds. A separate but adjoining room offers a bunk bed, a wardrobe, bedside tables, chest of drawers and includes an ensuite bathroom with shower and hairdryer.

The restaurant is open every day for supper and Sunday’s for lunch and supper. Between 31 Oct and 31 Mar it opens Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday for supper only and Sunday for lunch only.

The weekly pricing shown in the table below is based on two guests sharing on a double room on a bed and breakfast basis in Off Peak, Mid Season 1 and Peak. The weekly rate for this room type in Mid Season 2 is £742 / €840 per week.
The nightly pricing for two guests sharing a double room on a bed and breakfast basis is £70 / €80 per night (Off Peak), £96 / €110 per night (Mid Season 1), £106 / €120 per night (Mid Season 2) and £114 / €130 per night (Peak).
The nightly pricing for three guests sharing a triple room on a bed and breakfast basis is £86 / €99 per night (Off Peak), £118 / €135 per night (Mid Season 1), £132 / €150 per night (Mid Season 2) and £140 / €160 per night (Peak).

Children under 3 stay free of charge. If a cot is required then there is an additional charge of £9 / €10 per night.

Baglio Fontana offers regional cookery courses with the opportunity to taste local produce and dishes. Prices are subject to the number of people attending and are payable locally.
The Baglio also offers a "tasting menu" which offers guests the opportunity of tasting 10 dishes made with local produce .
The baglio also has an arrangement with a local horse-riding centre and can organise excursions to the Egadi islands and to the nature reserve of “Riserva dello Zingaro”.

Trapani Province is situated on the West coast of Sicily and the closest International airport is in Palermo. There are a number of sites of interest within the province including San Vito lo Capo (beach resort), Scopello – Riserva dello Zingaro (nature reserve), the historical, medieval hilltown of Erice, the temples of Segesta and Selinute. The province of Trapani offers stunning countryside, numerous beaches and bays along the coastline and there is also a ferry service from Trapani to the Egadi Islands. Interweaved within the province are some fairly industrial areas including the port.
