Duca di Castelmonte is an antique baglio that has been in the same family since the eighteenth century. It is located just a few kilometres from Trapani in the upper western part of Sicily. There is still a working farm growing vegetables, citrus fruits and olives. There are twelve apartments within the grounds, which have all been individually decorated and furnished to a good standard. The accommodation also offers a communal swimming pool, restaurant and communal lounge area.

Between 1 Nov 2010 31 Mar 2011 the restaurant is open on Friday & Saturday for dinner only and Sunday for lunch only. From 1 Apr 14 June the restaurant is open Mon Sat for dinner and Sunday for lunch. 15 Jun 15 Sep the restaurant is open every day for dinner. From 16 Sep 30 Oct the restaurant is open Mon Sat for dinner and Sunday for lunch.

The weekly pricing shown in the table below is based on two guests sharing an apartment on a B&B basis.
The nightly rate for two guests sharing an apartment is £70 / 80 per night (Off Peak) and £88 / 100 per night (Peak).
The price for two guests sharing an apartment on a half board basis is £104 / 120 per night (Off Peak) and £124 / 140 per night (Peak). (excluding major holidays in which an additional supplement is payable on top of the half board rate (Easter, Christmas, New Year, 1 May & 25 April).
A cot can be provided at an additional cost of 8 per night (payable locally).

Trapani Province is situated on the West coast of Sicily and the closest International airport is in Palermo. There are a number of sites of interest within the province including San Vito lo Capo (beach resort), Scopello Riserva dello Zingaro (nature reserve), the historical, medieval hilltown of Erice, the temples of Segesta and Selinute. The province of Trapani offers stunning countryside, numerous beaches and bays along the coastline and there is also a ferry service from Trapani to the Egadi Islands. Interweaved within the province are some fairly industrial areas including the port.
