For car hire bookings in Sicily, we recommend that the damage excess refund product is included. If you do not include this option then the local car hire company will try and sell you a similar product on collection of your vehicle, at a much higher rate.

- Personal Accident Insurance. This is probably covered in your holiday insurance. It is an option, which you will be offered on collection of the car
- Insurance exclusions
- Fuel. A deposit is often payable for fuel and is usually refunded if the car is returned with a full tank. Fuel policies vary. Please check when you collect your car.
- Garaging, parking and traffic fines
- Damage excess (unless the damage excess refund product is purchased)
- Additional drivers’ charges where applicable
- Delivery and collection of your car can be arranged during normal working hours
- Out of hours charges
- Optional extras
- Young drivers charges where applicable
